Work Out, Chill Out — All in One Retreat
This isn’t your typical boot camp—and that’s exactly the point. Our Not So Serious Fitness Retreat is all about moving your body in ways that feel good, energize your spirit, and still leave plenty of room for naps, nature, and maybe a glass of local wine. Expect functional workouts, mobility sessions, playful movement, and outdoor activities designed to boost strength without killing the vibe. We mix in hikes, dips in the ocean, and time to explore the laid-back charm of coastal Alentejo. Come as you are—no fitness level required, just a willingness to move, laugh, and let go.
What’s included with your stay:
4 or 6 nights at Quinta Camarena with access to all the common areas, pool, gym, gardens, and trails
Tour of the property and introduction to the region, local plants, wildlife and our sustainable practices.
Delicious and healthy daily brunch and dinner with local, seasonal and organic products.
Daily guided workout sessions in our Gym or outdoors
1 guided coastal hike along the Fishermans trail with a stop to swim in the ocean and time to relax in the beach.
Visit to a Coastal town and a local artisan
Wine tasting : Every evening we will present a different wine from a local small sustainable producer

Coffee, tea, fruit and (healthy) cake all day

About the fitness classes
The program is available for all ages, physical levels, and body types. Our instructor will adapt the classes to the needs of the group, whether you are trying to get back into shape or just starting your fitness routine, recovering from an injury or if you are already a fitness enthusiast. All the classes will be structured and guided to prevent any injuries and will balance strength, conditioning, and skill performance. You will be challenged but always in a fun and safe manner. Your limits will always be respected, and there is no competitive spirit. The goal is to spend a fun week while learning about your body and getting the basis for a healthy exercise routine back at home.
What´s the program like?
Most days will start with an energizing fitness class input gym, mixing indoor and outdoor exercises, followed by a great brunch prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients.
After breakfast, we might go hiking, hang out on the beach, or visit a nearby town and meet some local artisans. We will talk about the traditions and the history of this amazing region. We will explore the beautiful landscapes of both the countryside and the coast. There will be time to relax and wander on your own. You can also treat yourself with a massage, a sauna session, or a forest bath. If you can't stay still, don't worry, the gym is always open. There are bikes, and plenty of hiking trails to explore. You can find quaint rural towns, green pastures, century-old windmills, lakes, and waterfalls. For extra fun, you can also book other activities like a surf class, a SUP tour, or Horse riding (extra fee).
Food & Wine are part of our culture and play an important role in Quinta Camarena. Our concept is healthy, delicious, and sustainable. We avoid industrialized and refined ingredients, and we use what´s coming from our garden, local farmers, and small regional producers. You´ll find lots of organic veggies and fruits, sourdough freshly baked breads, eggs from our chickens, natural cheeses, homemade jams and cakes, wholegrains, and no lack of gluten-free and vegan options.
Relaxing and not taking yourself too seriously is kind of mandatory here… All the rest you can decide when you´re here and go with the flow.
